​At just four years old, Toby faced unthinkable cruelty. His body was shaved, his legs were covered in cigarette burns, and he weighed only 9 kg. He was destined for the Yulin Dog Meat Festival in China, a place where tens of thousands of dogs and cats are tortured and killed every June.

But Toby was rescued by Jackie Head, a volunteer with Yappy Ever After, who gave him a loving home in Bulkington, Warwickshire. Though scarred by trauma, Toby is finally learning what love and safety mean.
