2025 Year-End Impact Letter

Updated: Jan 11

Together, we made this a year of healing, hope, and humanity.

This past year, we were able to transform the lives of animals and people across continents thanks to our kind supporters. Like ripples in a pond, every act of compassion has created waves of change — rescuing the injured, uplifting communities, and inspiring kinder choices.

Below is a glimpse of what you made possible, post our August 2025 mid-year update.

🌿 Animal Rescues: Over 125 Lives Touched

Your support helped more than 125 animals receive safety, medical care, and the chance to experience love — many for the first time.

Alongside our partners in India and the US, we expanded our reach and deepened our commitment to those who need us most.

🇮🇳 Rescue Work Across India

RakshaMAD Sanctuary

Your generosity powered essential care during a devastating flood season. Food, medicine, and emergency supplies kept the animals safe when it mattered most.

You also enabled:

  • Life-saving rabies vaccination drives and spay/neuter camps.

  • Infrastructure upgrades to strengthen long-term shelter operations and ensure the safety of rescued animals.

Rescue Spotlight: Gajju & Bajju

Gajju, a brave monkey, absorbed a full electric shock while protecting a baby monkey. His hands and one leg were severely damaged.

After three major surgeries, funded entirely through your support, he is recovering and will remain safely at Raksha with the baby he protected.

Bubbles, the Puppy

Run over by a vehicle, Bubbles suffered a painful jaw fracture.

Your support enabled a pinning surgery, giving him the chance to eat, play, and heal again.

Nandi, the Calf

Nandi was struck by a vehicle and left injured on the road for two days.

We rescued him and began treatment for his open hind-leg fracture.

He is receiving ongoing medical care at the sanctuary.

Sunitha Christy's Shelter

You helped provide vaccines, food, and medical care for nine vulnerable pups, giving each a safer, healthier start in life.

Varah, the Pig

Varah was found tied and confined for hours — dehydrated, starving, and utterly vulnerable — awaiting slaughter.

With courage and urgency, Sunitha stepped in to rescue him. Thanks to your support, Varah received nourishment, medical care, and the chance to recover in safety.

Today, he is no longer a number or a commodity — but a life protected by compassion.

🇺🇸 Rescues in the United States

Live Freely Sanctuary, Florida

Our first grant here supported Arthur, a pig who spent his early life confined in a filthy stall and destined for slaughter.

Emotionally shut down and refusing to eat, Arthur needed both medical and emotional care.

Thanks to you, he is slowly recovering and returning to life with renewed trust.

Kanda Farm Sanctuary, Indiana

You helped save Michelle, a pig rescued from being sent to slaughter after sustaining serious injuries.

Discarded and left without care, she was brought to safety and treated — with your support helping her heal.

💚 Community Outreach

Silicon Valley Fall Family Festival

Your contributions brought compassion into the heart of Silicon Valley.

We shared meaningful conversations about sustainability and mindful living.

We offered free plant-based tastings, receiving enthusiastic responses and pledges for kinder eating.

We also showcased products crafted by artisans whose livelihoods are directly uplifted by your support.

A heartfelt thank you to the Cupertino Rotary Club for hosting this vibrant, community-centered event.

“Eating Our Way to Extinction” Film Screening

Our President, Seema Vaid, was invited by Sustainable San Mateo to speak on a panel following the award-winning documentary.

The discussion illuminated the link between food choices, emissions, and the future of our planet.

Attendees asked powerful questions, sparking hopeful dialogue on sustainable living.

🎁 Holiday Event

Kendra Scott Fundraiser – Santana Row, California

Supporters shopped for good and helped advance ACW’s animal rescue and women’s empowerment programs at the Kendra Scott store in Santana Row, California.

By mentioning “A Compassionate World” at checkout, 20% of each purchase was donated to our work.

We were honored to be invited back for the second year of the Kendra Gives Back program.

Together, we shared a festive afternoon filled with beautiful jewelry, community spirit, and generosity.

🌟 End-of-Year Giving

As we enter a new year of compassion and possibility, we invite you to help us continue this important work.

Every donation fuels rescues, medical care, community education, and livelihood programs for artisans otherwise facing socio-economic hardships.

Your support saves lives.

Your kindness restores hope.

With Gratitude

Thank you for believing in a kinder world and for helping us build it, one life at a time.

Here’s to a future filled with empathy, action, shared purpose, and respect for all.

Warmly,

The ACW Team
